During 2023, Howland Township started collecting additional revenue from the police levy that was passed in November 2022. Revenue for all the other funds were about the same except for the Local Fiscal Recovery Fund.  The following is a comparison of the total operating receipts, expenditures, ending cash balances and encumbrances for the years 2023 and 2022:

During 2020, Howland Township continued to experience a decline in revenue in Intergovernmental receipts which was due to a reduction of local government funding, phase out and loss reimbursement of tangible personal property tax and elimination of inheritance tax.   Additional monies were received through the Coroavirus Relief (CARES ACT).
