In accordance with the provisions of the Ohio Revised Code, Chapters 519.04 – 519.12, the Howland Township Board of Trustees will accept public comment regarding the proposed rezoning of portions of the following parcels in Howland Township:


9140 East Market Street
   Approx. 210 feet west of Avalon Drive

AND Vacant Land, Avalon Drive
 Approx. 180 feet south of East Market Street &

Applicants are requesting a zone change from the current classification of Corridor Review District – Office and Institutional (CRD-OI) to Single Family Residential (R-1) on portions of the above referenced properties. The rezoning request, if granted, will affect approximately 0.5226 acres. The subject parcels have split zoning; the first 400 feet from East Market Street has a zoning classification of CRD-OI and the balance is R-1.  An area of approximately 0.5226 acres, comprising the southernmost portion of the CRD-OI-zoned areas of both properties, is the subject of the rezoning request. An approval of the request is considered an amendment to the zoning resolution and map. The application is available for public examination at the Township Administration Building, Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm., or at www.howlandtownship.org.
